The Rochester Police Athletic League is gearing up for the 7th Annual Shop with a Cop event. Please see below for details and guidelines.
2011 SELECTION CRITERIA
- Applicant must have participated in a PAL related activity within the last year. Programs included football, girls group, recreation soccer, Soccer in Schools or soccer during recess with PAL officers.
- Applicant must be between the ages of 7 and 17 and enrolled in public, or private school, or in-home education.
- Applicant must have an acceptable attendance record at school.
- Applicant must have an acceptable behavior record at school.
- Applicant must have a satisfactory grade report.
- Applicant and immediate members of applicant’s family are ineligible if participated in Shop with a Cop the previous year.
- Income level is a factor in selection criteria, however, not a deciding factor in selection.
- All application are subject to a records check by a law enforcement officer of the Rochester Police Department.
- You must notify the Rochester Police Athletic League one week in advance if your child is unable to attend if selected by calling 507-208-0336.

1. How can my child be a part of the 2011 Shop With A Cop program?
To apply, you must download, print and complete the PAL Membership application. CLICK HERE to download the application. Once complete, you can email the application to rochesterpal@rochestermn.gov or mail application to 201 4th St. SE, Rochester MN, 55904. NO telephone applications will be accepted. Please see selection criteria below for additional restrictions and guidelines.
2. If my child is selected to participate in Shop With A Cop, how and when will I be notified?
If your child is selected for the 2011 Shop With A Cop program, you will be notified between November 28th - December 6th. Please be sure to provide a current phone number or email address. All participants notified and not confirmed with PAL Operations Director will become ineligible.
